Two medical reports were filed in the case of Laitia Nalawa in the Suva High Court today.

A statement from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions said:

  • The reports were presented to the court following the custody issue whereby Nalawa claims he was assaulted by police.
  • The reports indicated the medical examination before and after Nalawa was cautioned interviewed by police.
  • Nalawa appeared before Justice Salesi Temo.
  • State lawyer was Yogesh Prasad.
  • The case has been adjourned to September 25.
