Assistant Commissioner of Police Rusiate Tudravu today issued a directive to the Divisional Police Commander Southern to take necessary disciplinary action against officers found neglecting their duties.

This after recent media reports on the robbery cases in the Narere/Nasinu area.

In a statement issued by police today ACP Tudravu said there were shortfalls police faced along their line of duty:

We do admit that there are shortfalls in terms of our service delivery with regards to the attendance of reports and the follow up action which has been two of the main issues of concern.

ACP Tudravu assured the community all efforts had been directed towards restoring the confidence of the community and this has been an ongoing exercise led by the Station Officer in Nasinu personally.

Tudravu encouraged members of the public to directly call up the divisional police commanders if they were facing problems with police offices in their various divisions.

Those who continue to face difficulties with officers in their respective divisions are again requested to call their respective Divisional Police Commanders directly.

ACP Tudravu said the force would continue to pursue all efforts to uplift their level of service delivery to all Fijians.
