Police search for Lautoka robbers

Lautoka police are searching for a group of men alleged to have stolen a vehicle which was later used for a robbery on Tuesday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the men allegedly stole a Hyundai company vehicle from Aimatai street. The vehicle belonged to Nirvana Enterprises Ltd.

Half an hour later, the vehicle was used in a robbery at the City Bread Shop where the same group are alleged to have threatened a 25 year old baker and stole $350 cash.

The vehicle was later found abandoned at Lum Street, Lautoka.

The search continues for the group of men alleged to have been involved and at the same time we request members of the public to come forward to Lautoka Police if they have information.
