Government heads in the Western division will meet tomorrow to discuss, the “Fight the Bite” clean-up campaign for this Saturday.

Divisional Planning officer Mr. Sitiveni Tavaga confirmed this today.

TAVAGA: “We will be having a meeting with the HOD’s (Head of Department’s) tomorrow, in fact, the Divisional Health inspector has informed us about the campaign and we are asking him to brief the HOD’s tomorrow and the district officers would also be present at the Commissioner Western’s conference room.”

He said the areas of coverage will be discussed with Government heads of departments as well as the specified time the clean up campaign would be taking place.

TAVAGA: “Its been confirmed that the cleanup will be taking place this Saturday but we will have to be briefed on the areas of coverage throughout the western division.”

“The discussion tomorrow will basically be centred on the purpose for the “Fight the Bite” clean up campaign and the target we are hoping to achieve.”

Mr. Tavaga stressed the importance for Government Head of┬áDepartments and other NGO’s to be present during the meeting in order to be informed about the target areas.
