His Excellency the President, Jioji Konousi Konrote yesterday received members of the Fiji Under 20 rugby team.The team presented their ‘itatau’ to the Head of State at Government House.

While addressing members of the team, including team officials President Konrote reminded the players of their national duties as ambassadors of Fiji.

As a team, each one of you will be Fiji’s ambassador to the world so I urge each all of you to work together and ensure that you make your country proud.The team has prepared well and the people of Fiji expect good results from this tournament.

Under 20 team manager, Ame Baleitamavua said the team has prepared well ahead of the World Rugby Under 20 Trophy that will be held in Zimbabwe from the 19th of April to 1st May.

We will be training in New Zealand for two weeks before the team departs for Zimbabwe.We have a young team of talented players and this is another way of showcasing their talent at national and international level.

Fiji is pooled with Samoa, Uruguay and Zimbabwe
