The Vodafone Fiji National Women’s football side today departed to Cook Islands to compete in the 2016 OFC  U17 Women’s Championship.

The Yogen Dutt-coached side are placed in Pool B with Papua New Guinea, Vanuatu and the host Cook Islands.

The side will play host Cook Island tomorrow at 4pm before they take on Vanuatu at 1.30 pm on  Saturday. The side will play Papua New Guinea at 4 pm on Monday in their final pool match.

The 2016 OFC U17 women’s Championship starts on Wednesday 13th January with Final to be played on  Saturday 23rd January.

The winner for the 2016 OFC U-17 Women’s Championship will qualify for the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup which will be held in Jordan from 30 September to 21 October 2016.
