The Fiji U23 side lost 0-3 against Villarreal Youth on tour in Spain yesterday.

This is Fiji’s second loss in the tour. Earlier, the Frank Farina coached side:

  • Lost 2-0 to Levante United
  • Drew 1-1 with Hercules
  • Drew 2-2 draw against CF Cracks.

Despite the loss coach Frank Farina was pleased with the team’s performance.

“I am very pleased with the boys performance despite going down 3 nil,” said Farina.

“We really matched them and we could have scored in the first minute but just few mistakes we gave away the match.

“Well you can see the boys really played according to the game plan and did not allowed them to score in the second half.

Farina said these why we are her to learn playing the professional players.

“The result doesn’t matter to me as far as the boys learn and gain experience and exposure,”

Fiji will play Valencia FC tomorrow.
