Vodafone’s Chief Marketing Officer, Rajnesh Prasad said Vodafone further solidifies its commitment to grassroots rugby.

Vodafone fully supports the growth local rugby and we see the value in what the organizers of Marist 7s continue to do with the tournament. The tournament is well organized and has also built a reputation of being one of the toughest in the country.

Chairman and President of the Marist Rugby Club, Mr. Lawrence Tikaram said the sponsorship is a boost for the players and officials.

Vodafone has been a continuous supporter of 7s rugby and we can see their successful sponsorship with the Fiji 7’s team. We are grateful that Vodafone has come on board as our communications partner.

Vodafone has provided mobile phones, data, rugby balls, merchandises and technical support to us.

For a tournament that has opened its doors once again to overseas teams, the organizers have worked hard to deliver an international standard facility.

The playing venue will be equipped with 4G WiFi internet access throughout the entire playing facility as participating teams, both local and overseas, will need to be online for their communication and also for analysis of each game.

The 40th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s is scheduled for April 22-23 and will be held at the ANZ Stadium.

The supercharged two-day rugby spectacle will feature the top 82 men’s clubs and eight women’s teams from Fiji and overseas.
