The Vodafone Fiji 7s side was thrashed 30-7 by a fired-up Kenyan side in the Cup final of the Singapore 7s.

This is Kenya’s first-ever Cup win in the World Rugby Sevens Series.

Kenya had a stunning start to the match, running in four unanswered tries to lead 20-0 at half-time.

Kenya scored six tries with one conversion to Fiji’s one try in the second half by Jerry Tuwai.

Kenya’s Collins Injera was the man of the match.

In other finals of the Singapore7s, Samoa won the Plate final after beating New Zealand 26-21, Scotland beat USA 14-10 in the Bowl final while Russia won the Shield final after defeating Wales 24-7.

Fiji is still leading the World Series Standings with 147 points, South Africa is now in second place with 139 points, New Zealand is third with 135 points while Australia is in fourth place with 115 points.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team will play Kenya in the Cup final after beating South Africa 26-21 in the first Cup Semifinals of the Singapore 7s.

Fiji and South Africa were both locked at 14 points all at half time.

Fiji scored four tries to South Africa’s three .

Masivesi Dakuwaqa scored the first try Fiji while the other tries were scored by Jasa Veremalua, Amenoni Nasilasila, Alivereti Veitokani scored the winning try sending them into the Cup Final.

Fiji will play Kenya in the Cup Final which kicks off at 11.38pm tonight.

Kenya beat Argentina 15-12 in the second Cup semifinal.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s defeated Australia 19-14 in the first Cup Quarterfinals of the Singapore 7s.

Australia led 14-5 at half time.

Fiji scored three tries to Australia’s two .

Kitione Taliga scored the opening try and another in the last few seconds while the other tries were scored by Jasa Veremalua.

Sammy Figg scored Australia’s first try followed by James Stannard in the first half.

Captain Osea Kolinisau’s try was denied after referee Alexandre Ruiz spotted a forward pass.

Fiji will play South Africa in the Cup semifinals which is at 8.28pm tonight while the Cup Final kicks off at 11.38pm tonight.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has topped Pool A and will play Australia in the Cup quarterfinals after defeating England 26-12 at the Singapore 7s.

Fiji led 21-12 at half time.

The national side scored four tries to England’s two.

England will now play Wales in the Bowl quarterfinal.

Fiji will play Australia at 3.58pm today in the first Cup quarterfinal.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team thrashed Portugal 38-0 in their second pool match of the HSBC Singapore 7s.

Fiji led 21-0 at halftime.

The national side scored six tries to Portugal’s none.

Captain Osea Kolinisau scored the opening try while Jasa Veremalua and Kitione Taliga scored two tries each, the other try was scored Emosi Mulevoro.

Meanwhile, Semi Kunatani has been ruled out of Singapore 7s due to injury he sustained in the first pool game against Samoa.

Fiji’s last pool match is against England at 11.26pm tonight.

The Cup quarter finals kick off at 3.58pm on tomorrow afternoon.

The Cup semifinals are at 8.28pm tomorrow while the Cup Final kicks off at 11.38pm tomorrow night.

The Vodafone Fiji 7s team have been defeated by Samoa 28-14 in their first pool match of the HSBC Singapore 7s this afternoon.

Samoa led 14-7 at half time.

Samoa scored four tries against Fiji’s two.

Vatemo Ravouvou scored Fiji’s first try while the second try was scored by Nemani Nagusa.

Meanwhile, New Zealand was thrashed to France 0-24 in Pool B in the third pool match earlier today.

Fiji’s next game is against Portugal at 7.33pm tonight.

The HSBC Singapore Sevens two-day tournament begins at 2pm today.

Fiji is leading the World Rugby Sevens Series table with 128 points after having won in Dubai, Las Vegas and the Hong Kong leg last weekend.

Fiji has a five-point lead from New Zealand who is currently standing with 123 points and followed by South Africa with 122 points and Australia with 105 points. The two-day event will have feature sixteen teams .

Fiji Sevens Coach Ben Ryan told World Rugby that the team is working on winning more titles and preparation for the Fiji team to Rio.

With five points ahead, we’ve won three titles, and we would like to win more titles compared to what we won last year.

I’d love to go back home to London with boys and finish on a real high before we go into the Olympic games. There’s plenty at stake and the boys all know this and they’re fighting for places.
