Prime Minister receives donations from corporate entities for Fiji 7s team

Prime Minister  Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday received a total of $345,500 from various corporate bodies including gift hampers for the Fiji Sevens Rugby Team. Prime Minister  Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday received a total of $345,500 from various corporate bodies including gift hampers for the Fiji Sevens Rugby Team.

A cheque presentation of $170,000 was presented by Fiji Water Limited, Jacks Handicraft presented $34,000, Fijian Holdings Limited presented $51,000 and Airport Terminal Services handed over $45,500 for distribution to the thirteen players.

Other donations included gift hampers of 12 sets silver medal and cross pendants by Mr Himmat Lodhia of Lords Jewellers.

The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation chief executive officer Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum also handed over a separate donation.

Prime Minister and President for Fiji Rugby Union Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama who received the presentations thanked the corporate bodies for their kind donations towards the Fiji 7s team.

BAINIMARAMA: “On behalf Government and Fiji Rugby Union I would like to thank all the private sector for their donations towards the Fiji 7s team, this will be great investment for the players and their families.”
