Vodafone Fiji has commended Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau for being the first Fijian to have played in more than fifty sevens rugby tournaments in the World Sevens Series.

The Namuka-i-Lau lad has played in 52 tournaments and has surpassed rugby 7s great Waisale Serevi’s record of 34 tournaments.

Kolinisau acknowledged all those who have contributed to his milestone achievement.

KOLINISAU: “I thank the coach for selecting me to be captaining the side. with out them I couldn’t have achieved this 50th Tournament and also to Ben for his mentor-ship and his coaching that has brought me this far in this three years. I am just thankful to God for giving me the talent and the will to play and staying in there for a long time. Its not easy for playing in sevens for eight years.”

Kolinisau acknowledged Vodafone for supporting him and the Fiji 7s team.

KOLINISAU: “I would like to  thank Vodafone for this initiative. Its a huge gift and and I am thankful to them for giving this gift. If this is the kind of gift they are going to give after the tournament.”

Kolinisau has scored a total 104 tries in the World Sevens Series.
