Lelean Memorial School were crowned champions after beating Tuva in the final of the Uprising Schools 7’s tournament at Lawaqa Park yesterday afternoon.

The Cup Final between the two undefeated teams in the competition was nail-biting to the end as Tuva attempted to repeatedly drive to the line with the last play of the day after the siren had gone.

Results of the final matches of the Uprising Schools 7’s are as follows:

The Lote Tuqiri Medal for the Player of the Tournament was awarded to Nailati Ukelele from the winning Lelean team.

The 2016 Bayleys Fiji Coral Coast 7’s will be kicking off today at 10.00am with free entry to the grounds in Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
