A new champion will be crowned this year in the Coke Zero Deans final next week.

This was after Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) defeated Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS) 14-5 in the second semifinal at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka this afternoon.

QVS thrashed Nasinu Secondary School 20-5 to book their spot in the finals.

The Vulinitu boys have also booked their spots in four other grades.

In the under 14 RSMS will take on QVS while RKS will meet both of under 15 and under 16 in the finals. The under 17 finals will see QVS and St John College.

The Cokes Zero Deans Finals will be held next weekend.

After grueling quarterfinal matches, four secondary schools have booked their spot in the Coke Zero Deans Trophy semi-finals.

The four, Queen Victoria School (QVS) will take on Nasinu Secondary School (NSS), Marist Brothers High School and defending champions Ratu Kadavulevu School will battle it out in the U18 Coke Zero Deans Trophy semi-finals next Saturday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

In the under 18 quarter-finals match today RKS defeated Ratu Navula College 27-3, MBHS thrashed Lelean 28-3 while the Kinoya based school, Nasinu edged Cuvu College 8-7.

Looking at other grades, in the under 14 Ratu Sukuna Memorial School faces Marist while QVS takes on Suva Grammar School.

In the under 15, QVS will challenge Marist while RKS battles with Lelean.

Lelean will also compete against Natabua in the under 17 grade while QVS takes on Saint John College. In the under 19 grade, Ratu Navula college  will try and determine their spot in the finals against RKS while the Matavatucou based school compete against Lelean.

All the respective Queen Victoria School grades are qualified to the semi-finals next week.

The semi-finals will be hosted at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka next week.

The Nasinu Secondary School U18 rugby team determined its spot in the Coke Zero Deans Trophy semi-finals competition after edging Cuvu College 8-7 at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this morning.

The side was the first to clear their scoreboard after Apenisa Belolevu nailed their penalty kick. Nasinu led 3-0 in the first half.

The Kinoya based school maintained their dominance in the second half as they scored their first try just minutes into the game. Full back Jonacani Bituleka scored the try for his team, however, was unsuccessful with the conversion.

Cuvu College scored a try in the very last minute of play.

In the second quarterfinal, Marist Brothers High School (MBHS) thrashed Lelean Memorial School (LMS) 28-3.

In the third quarterfinal, Queen Victoria School (QVS) also thrashed Suva Grammar School (SGS) 31-3.

QVS will take on Nasinu Secondary School in the first semi-final match of the U18 Coke Zero Deans Trophy next weekend at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.
