The teams were given new jerseys and their new sporting gears which were sponsored by BSP Life yesterday.

School principal Saimoni Nalewabau acknowledged the timely donation.

NALEWABAU: “I take this moment to pay special tribute to our major sponsors BSP. We thank you and your company for accepting our request and coming forward to support us as we yearn to do our best this weekend.”

Naiyaga thanked the coaches and wished the teams well ahead of their competition.

NALEWABAU: “I would like to wish all our teams, coaches their squad players and backroom staff best wishes for the forthcoming quarter-finals as you seek to qualify all the way to the grand finale. It will be challenging but I’m certain the preparation and efforts of all the squad and management will be just committed as in previous years.”

BSP Life Managing Director Malakai Naiyaga said the donations was a special one for them.

NAIYAGA: “It gives me great pleasure to say a few words on behalf of the BSP Group; the Bank and BSP Life on this special occasion, the presentation of the BSP sponsored jerseys and outfit for the QVS rugby teams. I said that it is special because traditionally BSP has focused its major sports and rugby sponsorship at national level only.”

He said the sponsorship was mooted by their marketing team and that they were enthusiastic with what the students and the parents have displayed.

NAIYAGA: “We are pleased to be associated with the enthusiasm and passion that the students and parents have displayed in putting together and organizing teams and in their participation in the secondary schools competition in 2016.

Naiyaga challenged the boys to deliver their best and carry the BSP brand and to perform at the highest level.

All QVS grades will be competing in the quarter-finals tomorrow.

The quarter-finals will be played at both Buckhurst Park and the ANZ Stadium in Suva.

The first match kicks off at 8.30am.
