Lautoka based Saru Dragons Rugby League side is not happy the semi finals of the Vodafone Cup will be held in Suva.

The Lautoka based outfit wanted the semifinals held in the west as they topped to points table and the other two semi finalist are Sabeto Roosters and Burenitu Cowboys.

Saru Dragons are set to face off with Nabua Broncos this Saturday, and team management understand that it would be a tough battle.

Dragons coach Tevita Volavola, speaking to Fiji Times:

It’s sad to see the semi-finals being hosted in Suva. In fact it should be held in the West because we topped the points standings.

But we cannot do anything but the boys have been inspired to play their best games and beat Nabua on their home turf.

We have prepared well for the game and we are looking forward to a good battle.

Nabua is one of the giants of Fiji rugby league and they have beaten our recent round robin encounter.

They have some talented players in their outfit and they will want to wrestle the title away from us.

Saru Dragons would without the services of Australian-based Tikiko Noke and playmaker Jo Waibune some of their key players from last year’s winning team.
