Coach Ben Ryan said all players will be over-hyped during the competition.

RYAN: “All the players going out to the field will be over hyped. They will be a lot nervous and butterflies in the stomach so it’s about having those butterflies flying in formation together so we get things right in the field.”

He said upon their arrival in Chile the team will be pushed a little bit extra before they head to Santiago where he will start getting rid of all the distraction that may cost them.

RYAN: “This is the next final stage I guess we will just have a few more days in Fiji. When we get in the plane from Santiago that is where our tapping will begin and we will get rid of all the distraction and we will just stay really tight as a team for those four days, get everything right.”

Ryan also said the support from the Brazilians would be a challenge for him.

RYAN: “That will be a good challenge for me because the boys going to be pretty over aroused and Brazil will be more so playing in their first tournament. I love this little challenge that we are going to have with the boys over the next couple of weeks it’s not all going to be playing sailing.

He said it was vital for them to get things right before they begin their campaign.

RYAN: “I love doing my job and getting all of those little parts in the right position and moving it correctly so we get the best out of the team.”

Meanwhile, the side will take on Brazil in its first match at 4.30am on 10th of August, they will then face Argentina at 9.30am and plays USA at 4.30am on the 11th of August.

They will depart on Tuesday.
