RFMF, FIRCA, Kriz Signs donates to Road to Gold campaign

The Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Fiji Islands Revenue and Customs Authority (FIRCA) and signage company Kriz Signs made their donations towards the Road To Gold Campaign today.

The RFMF donated $20,000, FIRCA gave a  cheque of $1,030 while Kriz Signs donating $11,28.40 to the Road To Gold campaign.

Fiji Sports Council chief executive officer Litiana Loabuka while receiving the donations said they were grateful for the contributions made.

LOABUKA: “We are so grateful, the Road to Gold Campaign is ever so grateful to those that have committed, that have come forward. We’ve had the thousand, we’ve had the cents and the dollars we’ve had everyone come forward through the Vodafone M-Paisa platform we’ve had church groups and family groups and today we have got a all this donations which is unbelievable.”

The Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces, Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto said it was a pleasure for RFMF to be part the Road To Gold campaign.

NAUPOTO: “On behalf of RFMF Rugby Club we are happy to present you with this cheque of $20, 000 this is our contribution to the Road to Gold campaign. It comes to about $5 per person especially to all our troops who are overseas they have ownership that they are part of the Road To Gold.”

Kriz Signs CEO Ajay Singh said their contribution was from their own revenue and that they were happy to be part of the campaign in support of the Fiji Team to the Rio Olympics.

SINGH: “This is a contribution from the company from its own revenues and that the Managing Director Nilesh Chetty decided to make this contribution.”

Loabuka acknowledged all donations made towards the Road To Gold campaign.

LOABUKA: We are thankful to RFMF, Kriz Signs, and FIRCA for their contribution for the Road to Gold campaign. I am sure that our girls and boys now know that the whole nation is behind them, so thank you for supporting the road to gold.”

Meanwhile, Loabuka mentioned that they are still working behind the scenes to make sure that the Fiji Rugby Union get an update on all the funds that have been coming through.

The donation portal closed yesterday.
