Ms Buikoto said anyone with a credit card can log in, register and donate and those donations made will also be visible on the portal for a transparent operation.

She also said this additional support in developing an online donation portal will further assist FASANOC with the avenue to call on the Team Fiji supporters to contribute.

Ms Buikoto stressed that Vodafone Fiji were glad to be part of this years team Fiji outing at the Rio Olympics.

BUIKOTO: “Together with FASANOC we will carry with the same zeal to join the hands with Team Fiji to bring home GOLD.”

Team Fiji deputy Chef de Mission Wayne O’Connor acknowledged the timely assistance.

O’CONNOR: “I sincerely thank Vodafone Fiji for their continued and unwavering support of Team Fiji to the Rio Olympics.”

Mr O’Connor also thanked the first personal contribution made by Lorraine Raiwalui-Suka the chairman of “8th MAN,” one of many overseas support groups of Fiji Sports.

O’CONNOR: “Thank you Vodafone and Lorraine Raiwalui-Suka of “8th MAN,” for this kind gesture.”

Ms Suka said it was a pleasure for them to support the Fiji teams to the Rio Olympics.

SUKA: “To be the first personally, it is with great pleasure that I be the first Fijian abroad to show my support with this very small donation to kick start your financial campaign to Rio.

“The best way for Fijians and supporters of Team Fiji overseas is to log on to this online portal where all donations go to Team Fiji to help them prepare as best they can for Rio 2016.”

Ms Suka made the first donation with a sum of $300.
