The Fiji Sevens men and women rugby teams yesterday received a financial boost of $20,000 from the Hari Punja Group.

This is mainly to assist in catering for the cost of travel and preparations for the upcoming Rio Olympic Games. 

Receiving the cheque from the Director and Chairman of the Hari Punja Group, Mr Hari Punja was the Prime Minister and Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) President Voreqe Bainimarama.

Mr Bainimarama  expressed his sincere thanks on behalf of the Fijian Government and FRU for the donation. 

BAINIMARAMA: “It is great to see another Fijian business make a commitment to our men and women rugby players through the Road to Gold Campaign. Every donation helps take our players one step closer to their goal of bringing home the gold for Fiji, and I hope to see more companies and individuals come forward to provide their support.
