FHL group to give 7s players $2,500 each

The Fijian Holdings Limited (FHL) Group will offer a cash reward of $2,500 to each Fiji 7s Rugby player.
In a statement, FHL will also provide each player with $500 worth of units from Fijian Holdings Unit Trust.
FHL Group Chairman Iowane Naiveli said the entire country is thrilled to witness the historic occasion of Fiji winning the gold medal.
NAIVELI: “They have done what we ask for and now it is our turn as a corporate citizen to reward them. Fiji Team was the only unbeaten team throughout the Sevens Rugby at Rio Olympics.”
Group CEO Nouzab Fareed said the country and the FHL team is proud of the Fiji 7s team.
FAREED: “We are willing to go that extra mile and offer them employment within the group, if they wish.”
The initiative is supported by FHL group companies comprising of:

The Fijian Holdings Group has announced a reward package for local athletes and players who will be representing the country at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
For athletes who achieve medals in individual events, FHL is planning to provide the following cash rewards:
- $12,000 for Gold
- $8,000 for Silver
- $5,000 for Bronze
In a statement, Group CEO Mr Nouzab Fareed said this is the best opportunity for Fiji.
FAREED: “Since we started sending Olympians in 1956 and it is our duty to corporate citizen to motivate this men and women.We are doing well in the International arena, so why not at Rio 2016? Try hard. Do us proud.”
Apart from their cash rewards, FHL will offer employment opportunities for medal winners.
With regards to the team sports, FHL will be offering a cash reward of $2,500 for each player in the team which wins a Gold medal. If it is a Silver medal, each player will receive $1,500 and for Bronze, it would be $1,000.
The cost of the reward program would depend on the outcome of the event but may exceed $100,000 if the best scenario is considered.
Meanwhile, Fiji will be represented by 53 sportsmen and women in nine different disciplines.
