Fiji’s ‘Road to Gold’ campaign to fund the Vodafone Fiji Sevens men’s and women’s teams’ participation in the Rio Olympic Games received another financial boost from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China.

The Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama received the financial donation of $10,000 from the Embassy.

The Prime Minister, who is also the Fiji Rugby Union (FRU) president, thanked the Chinese Ambassador to Fiji H.E Zhang Ping who presented the donation on behalf of the Embassy.

Ambassador Ping extended his well wishes to the Fiji team to this year’s Olympic Games which begins in August in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
