Road to Gold co-chair and CEO of the Fiji Sports Council Litiana Loabuka acknowledged all those who have contributed towards the fundraising drive.

LOABUKA: “We love our rugby and we want to acknowledge everyone who have contributed as you are part of this Rio campaign.”

She said there was no hesitation of supporting the 7s team this year.

LOABUKA: “We agreed t0 support the 7s boys because we live for the love of our sport and the love of our country because never before has Fiji sent a team to the Olympics place number one in the world and number 10 for our women’s and that itself is a fantastic achivement.”

Ticket Direct also made their $20,000 contribution towards the campaign last night, a dollar from every ticket sold for the Super Rugby match in Suva earlier this month.
