Four players from the Vodafone Flying Fijians team are currently suffering from conjunctivitis.

Head coach John McKee confirmed the players Leeroy Atalifo, Adriu Delai, Ben Volavola, and Campese Ma’afu are suffering from the virus have been medically treated and are resting.

McKEE: “A couple of front rows and backs are suffering from the virus.”

Coach McKee said the team is doing both on and off-field preparations for the competition against Samoa this weekend.

McKEE: “Preparation is going well we have had some off the field preparation around our game analysis and reviews from last week which has been very good. This morning we trying to put a few things into place.”

He also stressed that they will need to focus more on their defensive skills.

McKEE: “Samoa is a really good side and we have had some great outings with them last year where they twisted out our defense and we are really focusing on our defense today.”

The Vodafone Flying Fijians will take on Samoa at 3pm at the ANZ Stadium in Suva this Saturday.
