Representing Fiji will be Epeli Baleibau who will take part in the men’s high jump T47 and Mere Roden in Table Tennis, both of whom will be accompanied by Chef de Mission Mereoni Daveta, Section Managers Harvi Yee and Ben Qumi, along with Fiji Paralympic Committee President Fred Fatiaki.

Yesterday Team Fiji received gear from sponsors BLK, JR White, Dahia, Pure Fiji and Rexona from the Motibhai Group of Companies. Team Fiji Paralympics will also walk out at the Opening Ceremony with the official Ceremony attire worn at the Olympic Games, designed by Rako.

Team member Fred Fatiaki thanked FASANOC officials for helping them prepare for the Summer Paralympic Games in Rio.

FATIAKI: “We are ready and like always we will go out there to do our country proud.”

Meanwhile, Mr Fatiaki along with current Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports, Iliesa Delana, are the only ones to have come back to Fiji with a Paralympic Games medal after Mr Delana won Gold in the High Jump event at the 2012 London Paralympic Games.
