In a report issued this afternoon, the Fiji Meteorological Service (FMS) stated that associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the group tonight.

The FMS has forecast rain developing from the west and gradually spreading over the rest of the group from tonight.

Situation:

A trough of low pressure is anticipated to approach the group from the west. Associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the group from tomorrow night.

Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:

Fine apart from isolated brief showers over the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands. Elsewhere, fine. Cool at night.

Moderate northeast winds. Moderate to rough seas.

Outlook for Friday : Rain developing from the west and gradually spreading over the rest of the group.
