A trough of low pressure with associated cloud and showers to the North of Fiji is expected to drift south and affect the group on Sunday.

In a report issued this morning, the Fiji Meteorological Service (FMS) stated that associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the country tomorrow.

The Fiji Meteorological Services has forecast cloudy periods with brief showers about the Eastern parts and
interior of the larger islands.

Situation:

  • Cloudy periods with brief showers about the eastern parts and interior of the larger islands,Fine elsewhere.
  • Moderate easterly winds, fresh at times, Moderate to rough seas.

Forecast for tomorrow: Occasional showers over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the eastern parts and interior of other larger islands. Elsewhere, fine apart from isolated afternoon or evening showers.

Outlook for Monday: Occasional showers over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, the Eastern parts, and interior of other larger islands.
