The Fiji Meteorological Service says Topical Depression 09F (TD09F) poses no direct threat to Fiji, but the associated cloud and rain will affect the group.

What we know:

Tropical Depression TD095 was located about 710km West-Northwest of Nadi at 6.00 am today.

Potential for TD095 to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 6-18 hours is high.

Flood Warning (9.50am)

A flood warning remains in force for all low lying areas along Rakiraki River, including Rakiraki Town.  River levels at 9.00am today was 3.46 meters, which is 1.46 meters above warning level.

  • Low Tide: 2.35 pm – 0.52m
  • Hide Tide: 8.41 pm – 2.01m

Heavy Rain Warning (8.50am)

A heavy rain warning remains in force for Western and Northern Viti Levu, Northern Vanua Levu, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group.

Period of rain, heavy at times and squally thunderstorms expected over.  Localised heavy rain may lead to flash flooding in these areas.
