A flood alert is now in force for all small streams, creeks and low lying areas adjacent to major rivers for the whole of Fiji.

In a special weather bulletin issued this afternoon by the Nadi Weather Forecasting Centre says a flood alert is now in force for the low lying areas and areas adjacent to Rakiraki town.

Situation:

A heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji group.

An active trough of low pressure lies slow moving over Fiji. The associated cloud, rain and thunderstorms will affect the group till Wednesday.

Water level at 2.00pm is 2.2m which is 0.7m above alert level.
