A 5.7 magnitude earthquake occurred 395km north north-west of Port Villa, Vanuata at 10:35am this morning.

Fiji’s Mineral Resources Department released a statement, saying a moderate size earthquake with shallow depth source location occurred in the Vanuatu region. However, it does not pose any immediate threat to the Fiji region.
