The government said the donation is to help repair damaged property through the Prime Minister’s relief and rehabilitation efforts. An Australian company, Bremick Fasteners, also donated $50,000 worth of roofing screws.

The AG thanked R.C. Manubhai and Bremick Fasteners for their donations and emphasized the continued need of affected Fijians for building materials and financial assistance.

“TC Winston has left many Fijians homeless and many of our schools in dire need of repairs. Practical, tangible donations, such as roofing materials, will provide much-needed shelter, repair damaged buildings and help put affected Fijians back on their feet,” he said.

Managing Director of R.C Manubhai, Dinesh Patel commended the Government for their efforts in addressing the needs of the affected victims.

“At this juncture I would also like to applaud the hard work carried out by our Prime Minister, the Attorney-General and members of the Government in putting Fiji and its people first,” he said.
