Kubulau District School in Bua will begin classes on the 7th of March due to the conditions of the classrooms after it was damaged by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Commissioner Northern Jovesa Vocea said Kubulau District School was one of those schools in the North that were severely damaged following the cyclone.

Engineers from the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) have been tasked to do swift engineering scoping works on the school

Teachers from the school are being accommodated at the newly built Kubulau Government Station because their quarters sustained damage.

The priority now is the school but we will find other ways to make sure that all teachers quarters are constructed as soon as possible

Meanwhile, the other three primary schools in the province of Bua that were severely damaged and remained closed are Baravi Primary School, Nadi District School and Vuya District School.
