India gives $2.7m for rebuilding of schools
Prime Minister Hon. Voreqe Bainimarama today thanked the Government and people of India for their contribution to the Government’s ‘Adopt A School’ Programme.

The PM received a cheque donation of USD$1.3 million (FJD$2,700,031.11) from India’s High Commissioner to Fiji, H.E Vishvas Sapkal.
“We are grateful for the assistance and donation provided by the Indian Government and I can assure you that it will be used to rebuild schools that were affected during Tropical Cyclone Winston,” PM Bainimarama said.
The Government of India had pledged to adopt 20 schools through the ‘Adopt A School’ Programme.
