Housing materials were donated to residents in the Tailevu North area, whose homes had been destroyed by Tropical Cyclone Winston.

Former Fiji resident, Surendra Pratap, who now resides in Queensland, Australia, donated materials included corrugated iron roof, nails, screws, and roofing strappers.

Receiving the supplies yesterday in Korovou, Tailevu, Minister for Rural and Maritime Development and National Disaster Management, Hon. Inia Seruiratu said the act of kindness is exemplary of the unity of Fijians in spirit all around the world.

Continuously, we witness ordinary Fijians coming forward to help and this is indicative of unity at heart.

The housing materials donated by Mr. Pratap will benefit 25 families in the Tailevu North area.
