McLean said this is in addition to two more activities where Digicel had put together about $50,000 worth of food rations and it was distributed with the help of DISMAC.

He said they are also in the process of collecting personal contributions from the staff of Digicel around the Pacific which is just over $30,000.

I would also like to take this opportunity to commend the Government on their rapid action over the past two weeks to stabilize the lives of Fijians who have been adversely affected by this cyclone

Attorney General Sayed-Khaiyum said the government will continue to engage with the private sector to bring financial assistance and relevant expertise to our work responding to the needs of ordinary Fijians.

This donation – on top of the work Digicel Fiji is already doing – will help the Fijian Government continue its vital effort of rebuilding and recovering from TC Winston.
