Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama received a $4,800 cheque donation from the Ram Krishna Temple of New South Wales earlier this month.

The donation will be placed directly in the account which has been established by the Government to carry out assistance work for victims affected directly by Cyclone Winston.

“I want to personally thank the members of the Ram Krishna temple in New South Wales for the generous assistance and assure that the donation would be used for relief aid work for Cyclone Winston,” PM Bainimarama said.

In presenting the cheque donation, President of the Sabha, Mr Anil Jay Singh said the funds was collected through appeal drives by its 250 members.

Mr Singh added that the Ram Krishna Temple had previously assisted Fiji with relief items following Cyclone Winston.
