The Public Service Commission (PSC) has engaged an Australian firm to assist in recruiting new permanent secretaries for all government ministries.

Mr. Vishnu Mohan, PSC Chairman confirmed that NGS Global from Australia has been engaged to assist the Commission.

We have completed the compilation of Permanent Secretary roles, qualification requirements and selection criteria to ensure that the best candidates are appointed for these most senior executive positions in the civil service.

All this information, together with other pertinent details, is contained in a customized website and link which is part of the advertising and recruitment process.

The advertising is being done widely both locally and overseas. All in all, we have embarked on an extensive and robust campaign to recruit the most competent and meritorious candidates for the various Permanent Secretary positions.

Mr. Mohan said that the closing date for applications is 11th October, 2015, with a timeline thereafter of 6 – 8 weeks set for completion of all due processes to have the Commission.
