Social Democratic Liberal Party (SODELPA) President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu yesterday spoke of his intention to resign from the party after Sitiveni Rabuka was not accepted into the party during last year’s general elections.

Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu was speaking at SODELPA’s Special General Meeting in Suva yesterday.

Ratu Naiqama said Opposition Leader Ro Teimumu Kepa’s convinced him to stay with SODELPA:

The Marama Roko Tui Dreketi spoke to me in our traditional ties saying that the Kubuna Confederacy is not with us and if I decided to leave also then how about me, I am a lady this is the role of a men and those words reminded me to come back.

Kubuna is now gone and if you leave too, what will happen to me, I am a woman and this is a man’s responsibility.
