The Social Democratic Liberal Party Party Leader, Major-General Rabuka extended an invitation to other political parties to work together with SODELPA for the 2018 General Elections.

Major-General Rabuka was speaking at a press conference held at the party office yesterday.

RABUKA: “I am happy to announce that the SODELPA Management Board and leadership are united in their resolve for victory in 2018; working with our fellow opposition parties is crucial to attaining victory in 2018.”

SODELPA is currently the largest opposition party, with the National Federation Party the only other opposition party.  Three other registered parties do not have a seat in Parliament.

RABUKA: “We [SODELPA] are united in our stand to work together with the other parties and determine the best way to move forward and defeat the ruling party at the next polls.”

According to the SODELPA Leader, “no single opposition party can go it alone in 2018, so it is sensible to explore all the avenues there are for inter-party cooperation.”

Major-General Rabuka said party president Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu and the parliamentary leader, “have both given their blessings,”
