A Fijian delegation led by the Speaker of Parliament, Dr Jiko Luveni, is in Canada attending the 24th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum (APPF).

At the executive committee meeting of the forum, it was formally announced that Fiji would host the 25th Asia-Pacific Parliamentary Forum in January, 2017.

The committee expressed their appreciation and gratitude to Fiji for this honour and said they stood ready to assist in terms of meeting logistics.

Government member Alexander O’Connor and Opposition member Mikaele Leawere are also part of the Fijian delegation to Canada.
