Former employees of Public Works Department (PWD) charged by the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) appeared in the Suva Magistrates court today.

The accused, Jaswant Kumar, Laisa Halafi, Asenaca Manuapa, Vaciseva Laqai, Amelia Vunisea & Ana Laqere are each charged with conspiracy to commit felony, abuse of office, obtaining financial gain and causing a loss during their time of employment for the Public Works Department.

The group appeared in court in relation to a case dating back to 2012.  The case has been adjourned to the 4th of July.
