In a statement, Airports Fiji Limited have clarified that all international flights scheduled for yesterday afternoon and evening have been cancelled by the various airlines due to adverse weather conditions.

Airport Fiji Limited said that all Fiji Link services for today are cancelled except for Nadi-Suva-Nadi services, however, there will be some delays.

To assist passengers affected by the current situation, Fiji Airways and Fiji Link are extending the waiver of fees. The following options are available to Fiji Airways & Fiji Link passengers holding valid tickets.

  1. Affected Passengers may change their booking without fee and fare differential until 30th May 2016
  2. Passengers booked on separate tickets may change their booking without fee & fare differential on FJ operated flights only
  3. Credit can be held for further travel on FJ International & domestic flights until 31st July 2016 and reissued with applicable reissue fee and fare differential.

Disrupted flights via Fiji Airways include inbound flights from Brisbane and Auckland today with several outbound flights cancelled due to the unfavourable weather.

AFL says passengers need to liaise with the respective airlines they are booked on for rescheduling of flights that have been cancelled.
