A 55-year-old woman is admitted at the Lautoka Hospital after the rental car she was travelling in veered off the road along the Queens Road near Komave in Nadroga yesterday morning.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the 56 year-old-driver and another 26-year-old passenger were treated at the Sigatoka Hospital and sent home.

WEICAVU: “We again wish to advise drivers to be more careful on our roads. Please drive with extreme care and attention for the safety of all road users.”

“The maturity of your age should be demonstrated in the way you drive and using our roads these days. Senior drivers should show young drivers how to drive and behave when using the road.”

Police investigations continue.
