The Drugs Operation team of Sigatoka Police Station uprooted 52 green plants believed to be marijuana from a farm outside Korolevu Village in Nadroga yesterday.

Police Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the raid was successful through the help of a member of the public who informed the police about the farm, at this time, the owner of the farm is yet to be known.

Investigations continue into the raid and the plants have been sent for analysis.

Inspector Sokomuri said the police force will continue to raid farms that may be cultivating marijuana and bring to task those that continue to break the law upon this cultivation.
