4 prison officers get promotions

Officers of the Fiji Corrections Service were promoted at the National Headquarters in Suva this morning. Officers of the Fiji Corrections Service were promoted at the National Headquarters in Suva this morning.

The promotions were:

  • Principal Corrections Officer Bali Saladuadua has been promoted to temporary Chief Corrections Officer.
  • Corrections Officer Class A Filimoni Seru is now Principal Corrections Officer.
  • Principal Corrections Officer Sevuloni Naucukidi is now temporary Assistant Superintendent Corrections Officer and
  • Assistant Superintendent Seremaia Baikeiyasawa is now Deputy Superintendent.

Speaking to the officers, Acting Commissioner of Corrections, Mr Kameli Ratuvakalevulevu congratulated them on their promotions and said that their work has just begun.

The Acting Commissioner Kameli Ratuvakalevulevu told the men that promotions come with responsibilities and he hopes they will be able to take on the challenges that lie ahead of them.

Work hard and always ensure that you know and understand the important roles that you will play from now on in taking forward the Fiji Corrections Service.

The four officers were also hosted to a morning tea.
