A 42-year-old farmer who was bumped by a bus at the Sigatoka Bus stand last month died at the Lautoka Hospital yesterday morning.

Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro said the victim had been admitted in Hospital since the accident occurred on 13th of last month.

NAISORO: “He sustained serious injuries after a bus driven by a 45 year old allegedly bumped him while he was loading his things in to the bus carrier. He was initially rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital and later transferred to the Lautoka Hospital where he was admitted in critical condition.”

“The victim who is from Nakorokoro, Sigatoka died yesterday morning.”

Naisoro said  post mortem will be conducted soon as investigations continue.

A 42-year-old farmer of Sigatoka is recovering at the Lautoka hospital ICU ward following an accident at Sigatoka Town bus stand last night.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the victim was loading his stuff into a carrier and was hit by a bus.

Inspector Weicavu said the bus was driven by a 45-year-old man.

WEICAVU: “The victim was rushed to the Sigatoka hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Hospital last night and police Investigations continue.”
