This was confirmed by Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu.

WEICAVU: “The accident happened this morning (yesterday) and four people were traveling in that vehicle. They had minor bruises only and all treated and sent home.”

Inspector Weicavu said police is urging drivers to avoid speeding during the rainy weather which may increase the risk of road accidents occurring.

WEICAVU: “Drivers are advised to avoid speeding as the roads will be slippery due to the current weather conditions we experiencing and remember it’s better to arrive late but safely then speeding your way to the hospital. Drivers need to also take rest should they get tired during their journey, because we must join hands and make our roads safer this weekend.”
