A 49-year-old and 33-year-old women are now admitted to the Sigatoka Hospital after the car they were travelling in was involved in an accident with another car driven by a 24-year-old at Maro in Sigatoka yesterday.

Police spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu said the vehicle the women were travelling in along the Queens Highway was driven by a 26-year-old man.

We again wish to reiterate that drivers to drive responsibly with extreme care and practice defensive driving at all times. Simply adhere to all road rules and your safety and the safety of your passengers and all other road users should be paramount when you are behind those wheels.

Inspector Weicavu said police investigation continues.
