The competition is scheduled to take place this Saturday at the USP foreshore at Suva point, starting at 9am with  34 business house outrigger paddling teams participating.

BSP stormed to victory in the Cup Final, beating the second place team, Paradise Beverages, by two seconds while Pacific Building Solutions settled for third place.

Each team was laced with at least two women, three men and an experienced steerer provided by Fiji Outrigger clubs.

Clay Energy managed to scoop first place in the plate final despite having only one woman on their team and in second place for the Plate were newcomers BRED Bank and in third GIZ, the German Technical Cooperation while the Bowl Final also provided great entertainment with first-timers Packleader Pacific finishing first and Dell Office Products in second and the Pacific Community in third place.

Members of the public can expect an equally ignited atmosphere this Saturday, as BSP will be taking on FEA, USP, SPC and Pacific Building Solutions during the Cup Final.

Ultimately this will mean BSP will have to try and  progress through the heats to the Semis to secure a spot in the final.

The regatta is open to the public and food will also be available on site for fans coming to watch the races.
