In a media release, the President of the Nadali Community Association Mili Nabi said bad road conditions are now a thing of the past and that for the last fourteen years they have faced virtually impassable road conditions when it rained.

NABI: “Grocery shopping and transporting our product to market has been a daily challenge, even our school children had to often miss school on rainy days because vehicles could not enter the road but we are grateful because these problems are now all in the past.”

Meanwhile, Fulton Hogan Hiways (FHH) has completed the maintenance of the 250-metre stretch that involved the clearing high shoulders on both sides of the road, graveling, resheeting, and grading of the road surface.

The Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) and its contractor Fulton Hogan Highways says that they will continue their commitment to upgrade rural roads around the Central and Northern Divisions to ensure year-round access for villages and communities in rural areas.
