LTA fixes payment inconvenience

Payments for LTA services can now be made with a single cheque and improvement from the previous practice of one check per service.

Land Transport Authority Acting Chief Executive Officer, Aptinko Vaurasi said the payments system was simplified as a convenience to its customers and to avoid unnecessary paperwork for its staff.

VAURASI: “So if they paid for a road levy, vehicle registration fee and penalties, they would need to write three separate cheques.”

He described the new system as a “win-win situation” and said that apart from boosting the delivery of a high standard of customer service, it also simplified the work of customer service officers.

VAURASI: “Less time is now required for preparing the daily banking, and in the long run, it means more effective use of our resources,”
